Explore Indigenous is a retail and showcase space created and managed by Indigenous Tourism Manitoba, located inside The Forks Market. The space sells locally made Indigenous products from artisans across Manitoba, and also serves as a place where Indigenous tourism businesses can host events and workshops.

Jordan Stranger

Totem Doodem • Peguis First Nation

Jordan Stranger is an Anishinaabe artist and graphic designer from Peguis First Nation known for his colourful style represented through murals, illustrations, and graphic design. Stranger’s work is deeply rooted in the traditions within contemporary Indigenous culture, and he uses his life experiences and spiritual practice learned through Ojibwe teachings to drive his artistic passions.

His murals and artwork using cultural influences and symbolism can be found throughout the city of Winnipeg, and he is the designer and artist behind the Winnipeg 150 logo.

Special Blessing Artwork

Jordan created a special piece of artwork for the space itself — a work intended to bless the store and carry a message of inclusion, welcome, and shared understanding. The piece reflects the spirit of Explore Indigenous: a place for culture, community, and connection.
